HEAD OF PHILANTHROPIC OR RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION OR OF A PUBLIC INTEREST NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION

A Permanent Visa may be issued to an individual intending to establish permanent residency in Brazil as head or manager of a religious or social assistance institution or of a nongovernmental organization recognised as being of public interest by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice. Similar visas may also be issued for dependants (spouse and children of the applicant under 21 years of age). The visa application and the pertinent documentation must be lodged with the Consulate-General. The minimum required documentation includes:

 

A – Passport valid for a minimum of six months
Authorized photocopies of the identifying pages will be taken by the Consulate General at the cost of €13,50 per page

B – One recent 3 cm x 4 cm photograph, front view

Fill in the form.
. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt.
. Print the receipt.
. Attach your photograph
. Sign the receipt.
. Bring the duly completed and signed receipt, the original documentation, passport and payment.

The visa application form filled out online is valid for one month only. If you apply after that period, it will be necessary to fill out another form.

 

D – Power of attorney on behalf of the applicant, whereby he is appointed head or manager of the institution in Brazil
Registered in the competent agency and legalized by a Notary Public in Brazil

E – Proof of studies and professional qualification compatible with the activities to be carried out in Brazil.


F – Letter of invitation from the Brazilian Institution stating that the applicant will not be remunerated.
Legalised by a Notary Public in Brazil

G – Document specifying details of workplace and type of activities to be carried out by the applicant . Legalised by a Notary Public in Brazil

H – Statement from the Brazilian Institution assuming full responsibility for the maintenance of the applicant while in Brazil and for his/her return to the Netherlands
Legalised by a Notary Public in Brazil

I – Statement from the Brazilian institutions assuming full responsibility by the health care of the applicant and his dependants during their stay in Brazil
Legalised by a Notary Public in Brazil

J – Social statutes of the institution in Brazil
Legalized by a Notary Public in Brazil

K – Articles of association or act of appointment of the current board of directors
Legalized by a Notary Public in Brazil

L – Proof of registration in the corresponding National, State, Federal District of Municipal Social Welfare Council in Brazil

or alternatively

L - Certificate, issued by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, to the effect that the nongovernmental organizastion is of public interest

Legalized by a Notary Public in Brazil


M – Proof that the institution is fully operational in Brazil

Legalised by a Notary Public in Brazil

N – Original certificate of good behaviour (international model)
For each adult dependant. International model issued by the Dutch Ministry of Justice within 90 days from delivery to the Consulate. Issuance by the Dutch authorities may take up to four weeks. Legalized by the Consulate-General

O – Original certificate of birth and/or marriage (international model)
Only if the applicant wants to take spouse and/or children under 21 years of age to Brazil. Issued by Dutch municipal authorities. Legalized by the Consulate-General

P – Original certificate of residence in the Netherlands (international model)
Applicant must have lived in the Netherlands for at least one year prior to the visa application. Issued by Dutch municipal authorities. Legalized by the Consulate-General

 

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT
1 – Once all the necessary documentation is received, the Consulate-General must submit the application to the appropriate Brazilian authorities and receive authorisation to grant the visa. A reply usually takes three months. In order to know whether your application was granted, check Authorized visas in this website.

2 – After the authorisation for issuance of the visa has been received by the Consulate-General and fees are paid, allow a minimum of five working days for the issuance of the visa.

3 – The authorisation to grant the visa expires within six months from the date of issuance.

4 –– On a reciprocity basis, first entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days after the visa has been issued for passport holders of the following countries: Angola, Bahrain, Cambodia, China, Gabon, Ghana, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Laos, Lybia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, Thailand, Tunisia and Switzerland.

5 – Bearers of a permanent visa must register with the Brazilian Federal Police within 30 days from the date of arrival. For this purpose, make sure to take the second copy of the application form duly stamped by this Consulate-General.

6 – If the applicant wishes to take household effects into Brazil, the Consulate-General will provide the necessary information.

 

CONSULAR FEES
• Each visa (if issuance is authorised) € 180,00
• Each certified copy of non-Brazilian documents € 13.50
• Legalisation of each signature in documents € 18,00
• Handling fee per visa submitted by agent or by mail € 18.00

An additional processing fee of € 126,00 is charged to US citizens.

British subjects will be subject to fee of € 139,50.

All fees are payable either by debit card (PIN) or in cash. Credit cards and cheques are not accepted.
