DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL VISAS


ELIGIBILITY:
These visa categories are designed for accredited and staff members of diplomatic missions, consular posts, United Nations Agencies and other International Agencies as well as their family members.


APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A - Passport valid for a minimum of six months.

B - One recent 3 cm x 4 cm photograph, front view

C - visa application form (click here to fill in the form). Please disregard the error message about the website’s security certificate. Click at “Continue to this website (not recommended)”.
Fill in the form.
. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt.
. Print the receipt.
. Attach your photograph
. Sign the receipt.
. Bring the duly completed and signed receipt, the original documentation, passport and payment.

D - A diplomatic note (“Note Verbale”) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic mission or International Organization stating the applicant’s status as well as nature and duration of the mission;

E -As applicable, yellow fever vaccination certificate is required only if the applicant has traveled within the last 90 days to any of the following countries: Angola, Benin, Bissau Guinea, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroun, Central African Republic, Colombia, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guiana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guiana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenia, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda or Venezuela. Yellow fever vaccination is advisable if applicant's destination in Brazil includes any of the following States: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Federal District, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima and/or Tocantins.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
In the Netherlands, diplomatic and official visas are issued by this Consulate General only. The Embassy of Brazil in The Hague does not issue visas of any kind.

PROCESSING TIME:
Upon arrival of complete documentation at this Consulate General, please allow a minimum of five working days for the issuance of the visa. A minimum of two additional working days is required for passports returned by mail. This Consulate-General cannot be held responsible for lost or delayed mail.


CONSULAR FEES:
Diplomatic and official passport holders are exempt from visa fees.
