Both parents and the minor must come in person to the Consulate to apply for the minor's passport. There is no need to make an appointment.



Requirements

The following documents must be produced:

Passports of both parents or legal guardians

Passport application form on behalf of the minor
The application must be signed by both parents. The application can be filled at https://scedv.serpro.gov.br

Fill in the application.
. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt.
. Print the receipt.
. Attach the minor`s photograph.
. Sign the receipt.
. Bring the duly completed and signed receipt, the original documentation, passport and payment.

– One recent 3cm x 4cm photograph, front view.

Previous Brazilian passport of the minor
Expired or still valid for at most 6 months

Brazilian birth certificate of the minor
Issued by a Brazilian consulate or embassy or by a notary public in Brazil.

Identity document of the minor with recent photo
Only If the previous Brazilian passport of the minor is unavailable or if the photo on it no longer resembles the minor. The identity document may be foreign or Brazilian

Police report for the loss, theft or destruction of the Brazilian passport
If the previous Brazilian passport of the minor is unavailable.

Consular fees
If the previous passport is available: € 72,00
If the previous passport is unavailable ((due to theft, loss or even accidental damage: € 144,00
All fees are payable either by debit card (PIN) or in cash. Credit cards and cheques are not accepted.


Passports returned by mail
For the return of passports by mail a registered self-addressed stamped envelope of suitable size should be provided to the Consulate-General. THE CONSULATE-GENERAL CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DELAYED MAIL.


Processing time
Upon delivery of complete documentation and fees at the Consulate-General allow a minimum of five working days for the issuance of a new passport. Add a minimum of two working days for documentation returned by mail.
