TOURIST VISA
Tourist visas are required from foreign citizens
entering Brazil:
A – on tourism
B – to visit family
C – to participate in sports competitions
as amateurs, provided that admission to such activities
is free of charge and that no prize money is awarded
D – to attend conferences or congresses
of professional interest, provided that this participation
is not remunerated
VISA EXEMPTION
Citizens of the countries listed below do not
need a visa to visit Brazil as tourists:

May enter Brazil with the national identity card.
Visa exemptions depend on nationality only. The
fact that the applicant has a residence permit
to the Netherlands or a Dutch passaport for refugee
or a Dutch passport for foreign spouse is irrelevant
for exemption purposes. Only nationality matters.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Tourist visas, however, are required from citizens
of all countries not listed above.
Applicants must comply with the minimum documentation
requirements
as stated below:
a– Passport valid for a minimum of six
months.
b- One recent 3 cm x 4 cm photograph, front view
c– One visa application form (click
here to fill in the form).Please disregard
the error message about the website’s security
certificate. Click at “Continue to this
website (not recommended)”.
Fill in the form.
. Click "SEND" to receive your processing
number and receipt.
. Print the receipt.
. Attach your photograph
. Sign the receipt.
. Bring the duly completed and signed receipt,
the original documentation, passport and payment.
The visa application form filled out
online is valid for one month only. If you apply
after that period, it will be necessary to fill
out another form.
d– Round trip air ticket or e-ticket stating
complete itinerary with passenger’s name.
Itinerary must be on airline or travel agent’s
letterhead paper or identified with travel agency/airline
stamp. Itinerary must also show dates and cities
in Brazil of entry and departure.
e- Proof of means of support during the applicant`s
stay in Brazil (recent bank and credit card statements
as well as pay slips are accepted as proof).
f - For applicants participating in artistic
or amateur sports events (letter C, above), a
letter from the organisers stating intended length
of stay and that the applicants will not be paid
by a Brazilian source and there will be no selling
tickets for such event. The applicants are, however,
allowed to win prizes and money.
g - For applicants participating in conferences
or seminars (letter D, above), a letter from the
organisers stating intended length of stay and
that there is no payment to theapplicants by a
Brazilian source. .
h - Proof is required from the nationals of the
countries listed below concerning financial means
of subsistence, purported place of stay in Brazil
and resident status in the Netherlands:

Exception: nationals of the above-mentioned
countries who may produce a "Verblijfsverguning
- Regulier onbepaalde tijd" are exempt from
such proofs.
Nationals from countries listed with an asterisk
(*) above and holders of a Dutch travel document
(Reis Document)
must also wait for reply from Brazilian home authorities
to a written consultation made by the Consulate
General.

All fees are payable either by debit
card (PIN) or in cash. Credit cards and cheques
are not accepted.

PLEASE NOTE THAT
On a reciprocity basis, first entry into Brazil
must be made within 90 days after the visa has
been issued for passport holders of the following
countries: Angola, Bahrain, Cambodia, Cape Verde,
China, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana,
Greece, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan,
Qatar, Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Libya, Myanmar, Nigeria,
Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal,
Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Syria, Thailand, Taiwan
and Tunisia.
Duration of stay in Brazil is 90 days. An extension
for another 90 days can be applied for at any
Department of Federal Police precinct in Brazil,
before the visa expires. The maximum duration
of stay in Brazil for a tourist visa holder is
180 days per year, regardless of the visa duration.
A valid international yellow fever vaccination
certificate will be required on arrival, if a
visitor has been to one of the countries listed
below within three months prior to entering Brazil.

Some countries (the Netherlands excluded) require
the same certificate from travellers arriving
from Brazil.
Upon arrival of complete documentation at the
Consulate-General, please allow a minimum of five
working days for the issuance of the visa. A minimum
of two working days is required for passports
returned by mail.
The Consulate-General cannot be held
responsible for lost or delayed mail.
